Description
These weather-proof systems are ideal for remote applications. If you have a radio, monitoring device, Wi-Fi, security camera, telemetry, or lighting application our pre-packaged solar electric systems are perfect for your needs. They are also used in many custom applications where 12VDC, 24VDC or 120VAC is needed in a remote or portable environment.
Because these systems are shipped as complete, easy to assemble systems, they dramatically decrease the cost of installation. Just mount the solar modules and enclosure and connect the components with standard conduit and wiring. After that, you're ready to run your application with little or no maintenance.

What does a Class I Div II hazardous location certified system mean to you?
It means that one of the world's top safety testing labs, CSA, has independently certified these systems as safe for use in the highest level of hazardous locations such as a potentially explosive environment where there is the possible presence of flammable gases, vapors or liquids. This system line is the first solar power system in the world to meet CSA's most rigorous Class 1 Div 2 hazardous location safety standard.
Using these systems insures - no matter what your location or application - that you can safely and reliably generate electricity to power your equipment anywhere the sun shines, even under the most hazardous conditions.

How do I select the right solar power system for my remote application?
By using the system performance charts for our RAPS™ systems. Calculate the power consumption of your equipment, find the solar zone for your site, then easily locate the system you need on our performance charts. Do you have complete, packaged solar power systems with everything that I need?
Yes! Our RAPS™Pole Mount PM Series systems are designed for low to medium power applications and include everything you need for the installation, except the mounting pole or concrete pad. Our larger RAPS™ Rapid Deployment RD Series and our Ground Mount GM Series systems also include all the components you need and are designed to operate in the harshest of environments.
Do I need to supply an outdoor enclosure for my equipment?
Not usually. Our RAPS™ PM Series line of enclosures have an upper electronics compartment with plenty of room for your equipment and a convenient space for mounting. Our larger RAPS™ RD and GM systems include electronic enclosures or walk-in shelters that have plenty of room, even for your 19"-23" radio relay racks! Contact us if you need assistance.
Are the solar power systems relatively simple and fast to install?
Yes. We provide detailed installation manuals with easy to follow instructions and wiring schematics. Many of the components are pre-assembled and pre-wired allowing for rapid field deployment. Minor civil work such as mounting poles or concrete pads may be required, but our larger RAPS™ systems can mount directly to level ground. Contact us if you need assistance.
What happens during cloudy or rainy weather?
All our RAPS™ systems feature sealed, maintenance-free batteries providing plenty of reserve power for rainy or cloudy weather and night time operation.
Are there complete solar systems that are Listed for use in Class I, Div. II hazardous locations?
